Newcomer Youth Leadership Program

The YMCA NYLP (Newcomer Youth Leadership Program) offers:

• Leadership Training - skills, such as communication, event organizational and program instruction.
• Volunteerism - opportunities to take party in community service projects, promotion and assisting in the delivery of YMCA youth programs.
• Self Governance - participants will identify their individual projects, learning goals and group activities.

During the year a variety of social events will take place. Some favourite past activities were movie nights, dinner parties, theatre trips. skating and more! Some participants may also have the opportunity to attend provincial Leader Corps events. This program is for permanent residents and convention refugees.
