Programs for New Canadians

The YMCA of Windsor and Essex County has been providing services to newcomers since the 1950’s when a “New Canadian Club” was formed. The purpose of this Club was to assist newcomers in language training and to offer opportunities for self-improvement and self-reliance through spiritual, mental, and physical development. Over the years, the programs for newcomers have expanded considerably and a variety of services are now offered.
