Language Training - LINC


The YMCA of Windsor and Essex County is provider of LINC training in our community. We offer various levels of LINC and conversational tutoring, citizenship preparation, and pronounciation classes. To be eligible for these programs individuals need to be landed immigrants or convention refuges.

LINC classes are offered Monday through Friday. Conversational Classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.



Need help with your pronunciation? Do you want to focus on Listening and Speaking? The YMCA of Windsor and Essex County is pleased to announce expanded hours in our LINC Pronunciation class. This FREE class will take place from 12:30pm to 3:00pm Monday through Thursday starting April 1st, 2012. Childminding is available. Click here for more information.



Due to popular demand our LINC Seniors and LINC Conversation classes have expanded. The YMCA of Windsor and Essex County is pleased to offer the LINC Seniors program from 9:00am to 11:30am Monday through Friday and the LINC Conversation class from 6:30pm to 9:00pm starting April 1, 2012. LINC is pleased to announce that our Citizenship Preparation class is offering another session! This class takes place in our new classroom downstairs, Room 29 on Monday nights from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. The first class begins on April 30th followed by classes on May 7th, 14th, 28th, and June 4th and 11th. Registration will take place during class time and everyone is welcome! LINC Childminding Program

Parents who are enrolled in our programs for New Canadians can take advantage of the LINC Childminding program for children six months to school age. This childminding program provides a language-enriched environment and is designed to welcome New Canadian children into a safe and friendly place to learn and grow.
