Summer Camps

The YMCA of Windsor and Essex County offers safe and fun activities, supervised by responsible and enthusiastic staff. We have earned our reputation as the most recognized and trusted Summer Camp provider in the area.

Of all the experiences in a child’s life, camp is amongst the most rewarding and enduring. Camp teaches children the meaning of friendships and the responsibility of community. Camp builds skills and boosts self-esteem. Simply put, camp is an experience that can last a lifetime!

At the YMCA SUMMER CAMPS we are continually striving to offer the highest quality children’s and youth programs possible.

YMCA Summer CAMPS provide:

• Fun and challenging programs with lots of choices for campers.
• Counselors who are a minimum of 17 years of age.
• Small groups of campers to enhance personal growth and for better supervision.
• Programs that promote the YMCA core values of caring, health, honesty, inclusiveness, respect and responsibility.

YMCA staff:

• Are trained in first aid and emergency procedures to ensure the safety of children.
• Recognizes the individuality of each camper and plan activities that foster self confidence and self-esteem.
• Help campers to learn important skills such as problem-solving and conflict resolution.
• Know how to manage groups of campers so everyone participates.
