About the YMCA of Windsor and Essex County

In 1868, the Windsor community welcomed the YMCA as a place for men to explore spiritual values and leisure activities. Over the years, YMCA of Windsor and Essex County has evolved into an organization that provides a wide variety of programs and services for people of all ages and abilities in the community.

Each year, 10 000 individuals are involved in the YMCA through health, fitness, and recreation programs, youth leadership, day camping, and programs for new Canadians. Guided by four core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility, YMCA of Windsor and Essex County strives to offer quality programs and services that help build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
